Description
The Solco Leggero Appassimento is a red wine that embodies the elegance and winemaking tradition of Tuscany. Made from a skillful blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah, it expresses the authentic character of the territory. Its production reflects the experience of the Piccini family, who have passed down their passion for wine for over a century, keeping the art of excellence alive.
The technique of slight appassimento involves reducing the water content in the grapes, increasing the sugar concentration and intensifying the aromas and structure of the wine. After a gentle crushing and temperature-controlled maceration, the wine ferments and is aged in stainless steel tanks before completing its maturation in the bottle. This process provides a perfect balance between power and finesse.
In appearance, it presents an intense red color with purple reflections. The bouquet is enveloping and rich in aromas of ripe red fruits, with predominant notes of cherry and sour cherry, intertwined with delicate hints of sweet spices. On the palate, it is distinguished by its structured body and refined elegance, with a silky tannic texture that offers a pleasant softness and a long, persistent finish.
It pairs perfectly with roasts, red meats, game, and cheeses.
