Description
The Jassarte di Guado al Melo is a distinctive wine coming from the Bolgheri area, in the province of Livorno, the result of the assembly of 30 black grape varieties, both traditional local and from other Mediterranean areas, carefully selected for their mutual compatibility and adaptability to the local microclimate.
The manual harvest of the grapes is followed by soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in the traditional way in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with maceration in contact with the skins. The wine then matures in new oak barrels for 24 months and refines in the bottle for approximately 12 months before being released onto the market.
Wine with a deep ruby red color. On the nose, elegant notes of red fruit stand out, enriched by accents of incense, spices and mint, creating a complex and inviting bouquet. On the palate the wine is very fresh, balanced and persistent.
Perfect to accompany first courses with ragù and game-based dishes.
