Description
The Toscana Rosso I Sodi di San Niccolò di Castellare di Castellina was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti.
It is produced 90% from Sangiovese grapes and 10% from Malvasia Nera grapes, harvested after mid-October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C for 15-18 days. Subsequently the wine ages in barrique for up to 30 months, depending on the vintage, and for a further 12 months in the bottle.
Characterized by an intense red color, with garnet reflections, it opens on the nose with an intense bouquet of hints of cherries, enriched by pleasant spicy notes. On the palate it is soft and full, with velvety tannins and a pleasantly fruity finish.
Perfect to accompany cold cuts and red meats, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
