Description

The Esse della Fattoria La Torre is a wine made from grapes of Syrah only harvested from the Sottocantina vineyard of half a hectare, located in the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca.

In the first half of September the grapes are hand-picked in boxes. The must obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes ferments in wooden vats for 7-10 days at a temperature of 28 ° C, with subsequent maceration of 15 days. After malolactic fermentation in barrique, the wine is aged in new French oak barriques for 18 months and for a further 12 months in glass.

It reveals itself to the eye with an intense ruby red color. The nose promises to be rich in fruity notes of cherry and blackberry, combined with spicy and mentholated sensations. The sip is soft and balanced and faithfully recalls the olfactory perceptions.

Ideal in combination with first courses and recipes based on red meats typical of the Tuscan culinary tradition, it goes well with game and aged cheeses.
