Description
The Toscana Rosso Crognolo by Tenuta Sette Ponti was born in Castiglion Fibocchi, in the province of Arezzo, from vineyards located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level with an age of 10–20 years.
It comes from pure Sangiovese grapes. The must ferments, with maceration in contact with the skins, for 20 days. Ageing follows for 14 months in French oak barrels and a further 5–6 months in the bottle before being placed on the market.
Ruby red, Crognolo expresses an intense fruity aroma on the nose, accompanied by delicate spicy sensations. On the palate it is round and balanced, with notes of ripe cherries and berries.
It goes well with fine meats, noble game and braised red meats.
