Description
Corbezzolo is a wine produced with a blend of Sangiovese grapes from the company's historic vineyard dating back to 1981.
The vines are planted on predominantly clayey soils with the presence of limestone and at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. After being harvested strictly by hand, the grapes ferment in steel for a maximum of 20 days at a controlled temperature. Subsequently, the wine rests in new or second passage French oak barriques, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. A further ageing in bottle for 36 months follows.
Intense ruby red in colour, it releases hints of red fruits in jam, violet, and a light spicy tone on the nose that is confirmed on the palate by a soft and generous flavour, with gentle tannins and a long persistence.
Recommended with game, first courses with meat sauce and roast meats.
