Description

The Chardonnay Lamelle from the Il Borro estate comes from vineyards located on the hills of the Valdarno area, in Tuscany, at the foot of the Pratomagno.

It is produced exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand, then gently pressed. The grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C, half in new French oak barrels and half in steel, for 8-10 days. Subsequently the wine is placed in barrique for 2 months, then filtered and bottled. Before being placed on the market, it rests for another 2 months in the bottle.

It is a straw yellow wine with light golden reflections. The nose opens with rich hints of fresh white-fleshed fruit and tropical fruit, enriched by a slight spicy nuance of vanilla. On the palate it is delicate and fresh, with an accentuated mineral note. Overall it is a very balanced, savory, elegant and refined wine, which the passage in barrique gives character and structure.

Perfect to accompany fresh and medium-aged cheeses, it is ideal in combination with shellfish, seafood and fish dishes. Also excellent with raw fish such as sushi.
