Toscana IGT Camartina 2019 Querciabella

Querciabella is an innovative Chianti winery, which has been cultivating its vines in organic farming since 1988. Currently it manages a vineyard park of over 70 hectares, with plots located in the territories of Greve, Radda and Gaiole, surrounded by olive groves and oak woods.

Produced for the first time in 1981, Camartina is a Supertuscan made with a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese, coming from the Ruffoli and Greve in Chianti vineyards, grown on soils rich in marl. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. After the classic red vinification with maceration on the skins, the wine rests for 18 months in French oak barrels.

Dark ruby in color, it has a complex and varied nose, with hints of wild berries in jam, vanilla and chocolate, leather and licorice. The taste is deep, with dense and ripe tannins, dense and complex aromas and a spicy and persistent finish.

To be paired with Florentine steak, sliced beef or roasted game.
