Description
The Pietraforte di Carobbio red wine is born in vineyards located in Panzano in Chianti (Florence).
It is made exclusively of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, which are fermented for 10 days in thermoregulated steel tanks. This is followed by maceration for 21 days and, after drawing off, refinement in French oak barriques for 24 months. The refinement ends with 18 months in the bottle.
Intense ruby red in colour, it reveals aromas of blueberry, blackberry, spices and tobacco to the nose. The sip is dry and full-bodied, with soft tannins and a persistent finish.
It pairs well with game, grilled red meat and mature cheeses.
