Toscana IGT Cabernet Sauvignon Oltresogno 2022 Campo alle Comete

The Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon Oltresogno from the Campo alle Comete company was born in vineyards located in the small town of Sughericcio, in the Livorno municipality of Castagneto Carducci. Campo alle Comete is the first Tuscan company of Feudi di San Gregorio.

It is produced solely from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for 6 months, partly in steel and partly in new and used medium toasted French oak barriques and tonneaux, and for at least 6 months in bottle before being marketed.

Bright ruby red in colour, this Cabernet Sauvignon from Campo alle Comete opens to the nose with the fruity and spicy notes typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. On the palate it is pleasantly fresh and sapid, with ripe and silky tannins that give the wine a very balanced taste.

Ideal in combination with typical Tuscan appetizers based on cold cuts and cheeses, this wine is excellent to accompany first and second courses based on meat and also vegetables.
