Description

Brunello di Montalcino "missed", aged in barrique, this Sangiovese Grosso in purity is an experiment by Signor Sergio Rossi called "Birba", from which a robust and fascinating wine is obtained.

It comes from vineyards subjected to intense pruning which guarantees very few bunches per plant, whose must undergoes temperature controlled fermentation, maintained around 30 ° C. Aging for 10 months in medium toasted Allier-Vosge oak barriques, one third new and another 7 months in glass.

Very intense ruby red. The nose has evident hints of vanilla and strawberry on an ethereal background. The palate is dry and harmonious, with a round and velvety closure.

It enhances roasts and grilled red meat.
