Description
Banfi's Toscana Rosso Belnero is born in vineyards located between the Orcia and Ombrone rivers, on the southern side of the municipality of Montalcino, a territory unique in the world for its winemaking tradition and culture. It is produced with Sangiovese grapes and other complementary vines.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26°C for 8/12 days. The wine is then refined in barriques for 14 months and for a further period in the bottle.
Belnero is characterized by an intense and deep mauve red color. On the nose it opens with delicate aromas of vanilla, tobacco and coffee, enriched by pleasant fruity hints of cherries and plums. On the palate it has a powerful structure, with important and well-balanced tannins.
Perfect to accompany grilled red meats, it is ideal in combination with soups and aged cheeses.
