Description

Tokyo Gomez-Rojo Minami is a red wine from the Jumilla region, Murcia. It is made from a blend of Monastrell and Garnacha grapes.

The grapes come from vineyards located in El Valle de La Raja. The Garnacha is grown in La Atalaya, while the Monastrell comes from several old vineyards in the same valley. Both varieties ferment separately in 11,000 liter foudres and stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same type of tanks, with 30% of the wine fermenting in new 500-litre French oak barrels. Finally, the wine ages for approximately 12 months in new and used French oak barrels.

The wine has an intense red color with violet reflections. The nose reveals notes of ripe red and black fruit, balsamic and spicy aromas, and toasted hints deriving from the aging in wood. On the palate, it is expressive with excellent volume and balance, offering notable intensity and a pleasant final persistence, with flavors of ripe fruit and spices.

Tokyo Gomez-Rojo is ideal to pair with grilled red meat dishes or mature cheeses.
