Description

The Wanted Ranger is a red wine from Syrah and Viognier grapes that is born in vineyards located in Apulia.

The grapes are hand-picked in early September. First the Viognier is vinified, then the Syrah is added. The fermentation lasts about 10 days at a controlled temperature, at the end of which the wine rests further for 7–8 days on the skins. Finally, lactic bacteria are added to induce malolactic fermentation. 50% of the wine ages for 12 months in new French and American oak barriques.

Intense garnet red colour, the nose reveals aromas of black cherries, violets and bacon, as well as smoky notes. The sip is full-bodied and soft, with a long finish.

It goes well with main courses of meat with important cooking and BBQ, as well as aged cheeses.
