Description

The Wanted Zin Gold Rush is a red wine from Primitivo grapes that is born in vineyards located in Salento, in Apulia.

The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of August, to then be de-stemmed and vinified as a whole grape. Fermentation lasts about 8–10 days at a controlled temperature. Finally, lactic bacteria are added to induce malolactic fermentation. The wine ages for 12 months in American oak barriques and in tonneaux for 8 months.

Intense garnet red colour, the nose reveals aromas of black cherries, chocolate, raisins, toasted almonds and vanilla. The sip is full-bodied and soft, with a long finish.

It goes well with main courses of meat with important cooking and BBQ, as well as aged cheeses.
