Description
Nerello Mascalese Inessa is produced with pure Nerello Mascalese grapes grown on the slopes of Etna at an average altitude between 350 and 900 meters above sea level
The grape harvest takes place in the first ten days of September. Once transported to the cellar, they undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration at a temperature between 0 and 4 ° C, lasting 4/6 days. The alcoholic fermentation process follows at a controlled temperature at a maximum of 24 ° C, for 10-14 days, to allow the more fruity components to express themselves at their best.
In the glass the wine appears ruby red in color. The nose is expressed with marked notes of roasting, pleasant notes of red fruits, blackberries and dried plums on the finish. Its full and soft taste delicately envelops the palate, supported by a noble tannic texture and a pleasant persistence.
Ideal in combination with cold cuts, roasts and grilled meat appetizers. Recommended with medium-aged cheeses.
