Description
Nerello Cappuccio Inessa is produced with 100% grapes grown on the slopes of Etna at an average altitude between 350 and 900 meters above sea level
With late ripening, the grapes adapt well to soils of lava origin, mostly composed of sands and layers of ash. The right temperature ranges help the bunches to retain the acidity necessary to create structured wines. During the harvest the grapes are selected, transported to the cellar and destemmed, to then meet the maceration and fermentation phases. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to steel for a short period of refinement which continues for a short period also in the bottle.
Intense ruby red with some purplish reflections, it unfolds a compact nose with ripe red fruits such as raspberry, cherry and plum, some pleasant spicy notes and light herbaceous references. On the palate it shows density with a return of red fruits, good structure and a pleasant touch of rose and violet mediated by soft tannins which introduce a pleasant and long finish.
Ideal wine for roast meats and savory first courses, it can also accompany meat flans and cold cuts and semi-aged cheeses.
