Terre Siciliane IGT Nerello Cappuccio 2020 Inessa

Nerello Cappuccio Inessa is produced with pure grapes grown on the slopes of Etna at an average altitude between 350 and 900 meters above sea level

With late ripening, the grapes adapt well to soils of lava origin, mostly composed of sands and layers of ashes. The right temperature excursions help the clusters to retain the acidity necessary to create structured wines. During the harvest the grapes are selected, transported to the cellar and de-stemmed, to then meet the phases of maceration and fermentation. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to steel for a short period of refinement which continues for a short period also in the bottle.

Intense ruby red with some violet reflections, it unfolds a compact nose with ripe red fruits such as raspberry, cherry and plum, some pleasant spicy notes and light herbaceous references. On the palate it manifests density with return of red fruits, good structure and a pleasant touch of pink and violet mediated by soft tannins that introduce a pleasant and long finish.

Ideal wine for roast meats and savory first courses, it can also accompany meat flans and platters of cured meats and semi-mature cheeses.
