Description
The Timperosse di Mandrarossa is a wine that comes from an unconventional variety for the Sicilian territory, the Petit Verdot, and offers a unique version of sure interest. The vineyards from which it originates are located in the municipality of Menfi, with southern exposure, from medium-textured sandy soils.
The winemaking process begins after the grapes have been manually harvested during the second week of September. The must is then macerated and fermented for 4-6 days at a temperature of 18-22 ° C. It is aged for 4 months in steel tanks before being bottled.
It shows an intense ruby red color with purple hues. The nose is intense and elegant, with hints of black mulberry and plum accompanied by notes of aromatic herbs such as sage and rosemary. In the mouth it is soft and lively, with delicate tannins that give it a very pleasant structure.
It goes well with aged cheeses, first and second courses of red meats. Try it with seared tuna.
