Description

Tareni is the line of monovarietal wines from the historic Pellegrino winery. The vines from which this Syrah comes to life are grown in the Salemi countryside and in Mazara del Vallo, in the western part of Sicily.

The time of harvest takes place roughly between the third decade of August and the first of September. A partial maceration at low temperature precedes a fermentation carried out in controlled temperature conditions. The wine ages for 4 months in steel tanks.

Intense ruby red with purplish fingernail, it gives the nose intense sensations of sour cherry and pomegranate, reached by slight hints of wild blackberry. The taste proves elegant and balanced, in which evident notes of mulberry and red fruit find a pleasant contrast of balsamic tones.

Ideal in combination with roasted or braised meats, it goes perfectly with game and semi-mature cheeses.
