Description
The Quater Vitis Rosso di Firriato is the result of four different harvests and four separate vinifications of four of the most characteristic red grape varieties of the Sicily region: Nero d'Avola, Perricone and Frappato grown on the Pianoro Cuddìa estate, Nerello Cappuccio raised on the Tenuta di Cavanera, about 680 meters above sea level on Etna.
Fermentation is carried out for each variety in a traditional way with temperature control. Following malolactic fermentation, each wine ages for at least 10 months in French and American oak barrels and for a further 5 months after assembly.
Concentrated ruby with purple nuances, it offers attractive notes of red and black fruits to the nose, including cherry, currant and blueberry, which alternate with intense hints of chocolate, pepper and cloves. The sip is fresh and tannic, pleasantly juicy and soft.
Perfect with all the first courses of the Sicilian tradition, it goes well with game and red meats in general.
