Description
This Pinot Noir from Murgo was born inside the vineyards located in the Tenuta di San Michele, home of the corporate Cru, in the province of Catania.
Obtained exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand, the must is macerated at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks for more than a week with frequent pumping over. Subsequently the wine is left to ferment and mature for at least 18 months in steel and barrique.
Pinot Noir from Murgo is characterized by a light ruby red color. The nose brings intense fruity sensations of black currant and cherry, with floral notes of rose and a spicy touch of black pepper and licorice. In the mouth it is elegant, complex and mineral, with subtle aromas of red fruit and wild raspberry. The tannins are pleasantly integrated by a persistent spicy aftertaste.
Wine with great potential, it can be drunk immediately or 10 years after the harvest. It combines divinely with lamb chops and grilled meat.
