Description

Terre Siciliane Nero d'Avola Syrah Baglio Sorìa Santagostino di Firriato was born in the vineyards of the homonymous estate, located in the Trapani municipality of Agro, in Sicily.

It is produced from Nero d'Avola and Syrah grapes, harvested and selected only by hand respectively in the second and first ten days of September. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C for 10 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in American oak barriques for 8 months and in bottle for about 6 months, before being marketed.

It has a dense ruby red color with bright purple traces. The nose opens with fruity notes of morello cherry, forest fruits and plum, enriched with pleasant hints of rhubarb, cloves, licorice and tobacco leaves. On the palate it is full and enveloping with a good tannic texture and long persistence.

This wine is perfect to accompany all second courses with meat. Try it in combination with baked lamb ribs.
