Description
Grecanico Inzolia Radici d'Italia by Terre Forti is a Sicilian white wine that comes from the hilly vineyards of Petrosino, in the province of Trapani. Composed of a blend of equal parts of Grecanico and Inzolia, it is grown at an altitude of 150 meters on calcareous and clayey soils.
The grapes are hand-picked between August and September. After maceration on the skins for 8 hours at 8°C, the grapes are destemmed and pressed. Fermentation takes place in tanks at temperatures between 16 and 19°C for 12 days, followed by aging in stainless steel tanks for a period of 3-6 months before bottling, to ensure freshness and aromatic complexity.
Straw yellow in color with greenish hues, it opens to the nose with aromas of green apples and stone fruit. On the palate it presents notes of pear and grapefruit, supported by a lively acidity and a full-bodied structure.
Perfect as an aperitif, it is also excellent when paired with appetizers and fish-based dishes.
