Description
Frappato di Mandrarossa is a Sicilian wine made from one of the native red grapes of the region, Frappato.
The grapes are harvested during the first week of September. Maceration and fermentation last 4-6 days and take place in thermo-controlled steel vats, where the subsequent wine ages for 3-4 months.
In the glass it has a ruby red color with violet reflections. The bouquet expresses intense fruity aromas of cherry, black cherry, small red fruits, cinnamon and vanilla. The sip is sapid and of medium body and persistence.
Excellent to accompany tasty fish soups, roasted tuna or mackerel and grilled white meats.
