Description
Pellegrino's Frappato Junco is a wine produced solely from the Frappato grape variety that originates from the Gazzerotta estate in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily, an area notable for its mineral-rich clay soil. This area is characterized by a climate that places the vines in conditions of water stress and exposes them to high maximum temperatures, factors that contribute to defining the unique profile of this wine.
The harvest takes place manually in September. A long fermentation at low temperature aims to preserve and enhance the aromas of the fruit. This is followed by 4 months of aging in steel, which maintains and enhances the freshness and organoleptic characteristics of the wine.
At sight it presents a pale garnet red color. The nose is inviting, with pleasant notes of wild strawberries that blend with intense aromas of red flowers. In the mouth, the wine is soft, fresh and balanced, with a pleasant savory finish that completes the tasting experience.
This wine is ideal for accompanying first courses, omelettes, vegetable and legume soups, fresh cheeses, enhancing their flavours.
