Description
Terre Siciliane Contrada C of Passopisciaro originates in the district of Chiappemacine, a small cru located at 550 meters above sea level, with a soil rich in sandstone, on the edge of the lava flows of Etna.
It is produced from Nerello Mascalese grapes, harvested by hand in the second half of October. Fermentation takes place for 15 days in steel tanks. After the malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, the wine remains in the same containers for about 18 months.
It is a wine with a ruby red color. On the nose it has intense hints of red fruit, enriched with notes of undergrowth and white pepper. In the mouth it is compact and sapid, with great persistence.
Excellent in the company of first courses with meat sauce, it goes well with stewed meats, both white and red, and roasts.
