Description

Calanìca Syrah comes from the vineyards of western Sicily of Duca di Salaparuta, cultivated on mixed soils based on limestone and silicon, immersed in a climate of mild winters, fresh springs and hot and windy summers.

The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of September. Fermentation takes place traditionally with maceration on the skins for about 6-8 days. Once the malolactic fermentation is over, the wine remains on the fine lees for 2 months in steel.

It shines in the glass of a beautiful ruby red. The nose is intense and complex, with fruity notes that refer to red fruits which are joined by spicy sensations including black pepper. The taste is broad and composed, with tannins in evidence and notes that trace the olfactory.

Indicated in the company of tasty fish dishes, it is perfect with red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
