Description
The Frappato of the Nicosia company is an organic wine classified as 'bio vegan wine'.
The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 200 meters above sea level and grow on predominantly sandy soils. After the manual harvest of the grapes in September, a maceration of at least 10 days and a fermentation of 15 days at a controlled temperature follow. The wine ages first in steel, then 2 months in the bottle.
Ruby red in color with violet reflections, it immediately expresses the vivacity of red fruits such as raspberry, strawberry and currant, with some hints of herbaceous Mediterranean scrub. Great freshness on the palate anticipates smooth tannins, perceptible consistency of fruit notes and an excellent structure for a long and persistent finish.
It goes well with grilled or fried vegetable dishes, but it is also excellent to combine with savory first courses such as eggplant parmigiana.
