Description

Belva red wine is produced by Cantina Truentum, a company belonging to Cantine Nae, a young company that brings together wines produced from different regions of the Italian peninsula. Truentum was born in 2020 in Abruzzo in the Controguerra area, on the border with the Marche.

It is made from Montepulciano grapes, with a small addition of Merlot grapes. The grapes are dried for 20 days before proceeding with fermentation. This occurs separately with soft pressing of the grapes. Maceration on the skins lasts 2 weeks. The refinement takes place for 3-4 months in French barrels.

Ruby red in color with violet reflections, the nose reveals intense aromas of cherries, plums and spices. The sip is rich and juicy, with soft tannins and good persistence.

It pairs well with pasta with meat sauce and semi-mature cheeses.
