Description
The Oenothera red wine of the Château des Crès Ricards is born in vineyards located in the village of Ceyras and on the Terrasses du Larzac. The company was created in 1960 and currently manages approx. 42 hectares of vineyards.
The wine is made from Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes. The Syrah and Grenache grapes are vinified with a maceration of 20-30 days and a part of the Syrah undergoes carbonic maceration. The refinement of the blend takes place in French oak barrels for 10 months.
Intense ruby red in colour, the nose reveals aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, pepper, cinnamon and tobacco. The sip is rich and fine, with silky and long-lasting tannins.
Excellent with beef steak in sauce or grilled.
