Tequila DO Reposado Espolon

Espolon Tequila Reposado is a tequila produced at Destiladora San Nicola in the famous hills of Los Altos in Jalisco, where blue agave plants grow luxuriantly like nowhere else. The hearts of the agave, the piñas, are slowly cooked in an pressurized tank and then crushed to extract the sugars and left to ferment to allow them to turn into alcohol. It is characterized by an ageing in lightly charred American oak barrels between 3 and 5 months.

On the colour this tequila is golden, the nose is richly spiced with caramel aromas, while in the mouth the palate is round and slightly full-bodied with hints of toasted agave and tropical fruit with a long spicy finish.

A perfect tequila to accompany spicy and characteristic cocktails such as Mexican Mule.
