Description
Jack Daniel's Honey has arrived, the first flavoured variation of Jack Daniel's No. 7, the iconic American whishey. Jack Daniel's Honey is obtained from the union of Tennessee Whiskey Jack Daniel's No. 7 with honey liqueur, which gives the distillate peculiar sweet and lightly toasted aromas.
In the glass, Jack Daniel's Honey is amber in colour with golden reflections. The aromas we perceive on the nose are reminiscent of caramel and toasted oak, followed by notes of orange blossom, honey and vanilla. The taste faithfully reflects the strong character of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, wrapped in a sweet honey flavour to which a delicate nutty aftertaste arrives.
How to drink Jack Daniel's Honey?
You can taste Jack Daniel's Honey in the classic low and wide whiskey glass, which at best allows you to enhance the aroma of the distillate on the nose. It should be served with a couple of ice cubes and is one of the classic spirits to sip after dinner.
The production of Jack Daniel's Honey
An essential part in the production of Jack Daniel's Honey is the process of producing the maple charcoal necessary for its filtration, which takes place three days a week, three times a day. A meter and a half of pallets of unseasoned sugary maple, soaked in raw whiskey before setting the fire, is the secret of Jack Daniel's softness and creaminess.
Maple charcoal is joined by corn, rye and barley mash, water from the local Cave Spring and American white oak barrels in which the whiskey matures.
Jack Daniel's Tennesee Whiskey
Tennessee whiskey is a variety of American whiskey, produced in the state of Tennessee. Unlike classic bourbons, Tennessee whiskey features Tennessee white maple charcoal filtration.
It was 1866 when Jasper Newton Daniel, known by everyone as Jack, presented his Tennessee Whiskey to the world, which has the distinction of having been filtered through activated maple charcoal. The distillery is born, the oldest in the United States, located near the source of Cave Spring Hollow, the main resource of Jack Daniel's. Successes follow one another for Jack Daniel's, up to the years of American Prohibition, which will put the distillery in crisis.
First Frank Sinatra in 1947, then starting from the 60s, Jack Daniel's became the whiskey of blues and rock n 'roll made in the USA. Since 1988, thanks to the innovative spirit of Jimmy Bedford, there have been years of innovations, introduced by the Gentlemen Jack. Jack Daniel's Honey was born in 2011, with the aim of discovering the new side of the classic Jack.
