Description
The Radici Riserva di Mastroberardino comes from vines of around 20 years of age located in the upper part of the Montemarano vineyard, in the province of Avellino.
Aglianico in purity, it is the result of a vinification at controlled temperature with long maceration on the skins. It is raised in French oak barrels and in Slavonian oak barrels for 30 months, after which it is aged for at least 36 months in bottle.
It is characterized by a bright ruby red color. On the nose it exhibits a bouquet of ripe black cherry, accompanied by notes of leather, licorice and tobacco. The taste shows an indomitable minerality, revealing itself warm and material, with a long finish that evolves on elegant tones of plum and black pepper.
Perfect with a platter of aged cheeses, truffles and meat sauce, it is ideal for accompanying red meats, roasts and game dishes.
