Description
The Rajamagra Reserve is produced by Vinosìa Luciano Ercolino, a company based in Paternopoli, in the heart of Irpinia. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Luogosano area.
It is made up of 100% Aglianico grapes, harvested in early November. The grapes are macerated for 20 days and fermented with the addition of selected yeasts in thermoregulated steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barriques, where the wine is subsequently aged for 18 months, followed by at least 30 months of aging in the bottle.
Ruby red in color with garnet hues, aromas of plum and ripe plum, carob and laurel, licorice and pepper prevail on the nose. The sip is dry and rich, with round tannins and a persistent finish.
Ideal in combination with cured meats, stewed game and aged cheeses.
