Description
The Taurasi Principe Lagonessa of the Amarano company was born in Irpinia, in the province of Avellino. The family business was founded in 2004 and manages 7 hectares of vineyards located on average at an altitude of 500 masl. The company cultivates only native red and white vines: Aglianico, Fiano, Greco and Coda di Volpe, the basis of their wines.
The pure Aglianico grapes are vinified in steel, with a long maceration on the skins at a controlled temperature. The wine then ages for 24-36 months in 50 hl oak barrels.
Dark ruby in color, it presents itself to the nose with aromas of black cherry and plum, spices and balsamic hints. The sip is structured and intense, with a persistent finish.
Taurasi is a wine to be enjoyed together with tagliatelle with wild boar sauce and grilled red meats.
