Description
The Feur di San Gregorio Taurasi was born in vineyards located in the heart of the DOCG Taurasi.
It is produced with pure Aglianico grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in steel tanks for about 3 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages for 18 months in medium toasted French oak barriques and for another 9 months in bottle, before being put on the market.
Feudi di San Gregorio's Taurasi has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense hints of sour cherry and morello cherry, enriched with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and anise. In the mouth it is full and balanced, with soft tannins that accompany a pleasantly aromatic and persistent finish.
A wine with great longevity, it proves perfect to accompany roasted red meats. Ideal in combination with noble poultry and braised in Aglianico.
