Description

Boekenhoutskloof Syrah is a fine wine from the renowned Swartland production area. This wine is an authentic expression of the Syrah vine, cultivated with passion and dedication in soils particularly suitable for its growth.

The harvest is done manually with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in concrete tanks. Subsequently the wine is transferred to large French oak barrels, where it remains for a maturation period of up to 18 months, thus perfecting its structure and aromatic profile.

It has a ruby red color. The nose is captivated by intense aromas of dark fruit, with distinctive notes of blackcurrant, black olive, tar and graphite, which together create a complex and inviting bouquet. On the palate, the wine reveals a soft medium-bodied structure, enriched by silky tannins and a vibrant acidity that balances the tasting. The finish is embellished with nuances of white pepper, which give the wine a Provençal character.

This Syrah pairs well with red meats, flavor-packed vegetarian options, spicy meats, sharp and blue cheeses, as well as game.
