Description
Produced in the municipality of Suvereto, Tuscany, this Sangiovese from Gualdo del Re is obtained from vineyards cultivated on soils composed of clay, stone, and silt. The production area, characterized by a favorable microclimate, allows for a wine of great structure and elegance, an authentic expression of the territory.
The vinification involves alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in barrique. The aging takes place in new and second-pass barriques for twelve months, before an additional bottle aging of at least one year, allowing the wine to reach perfect maturity.
In appearance, it presents an intense brilliant ruby color. The olfactory profile is characterized by a balance between fruity and spicy notes, with hints of cherry and sour cherry merging with elegant nuances of cocoa and tobacco. On the palate, it is distinguished by its great structure, with ripe and silky tannins, and a long tasting persistence that enhances its harmony.
It pairs perfectly with game and red meats.
