Description

This Pinot Noir Riserva is one of the reds of the San Michele Appiano Selection : it is obtained from vines of at least 10 years, up to 30, located in Appiano, Caldaro and Pinzon, in the province of Bolzano.

The grape harvest takes place between the end of September and the beginning of October, after which they are subjected to pressing and the must is fermented in steel tanks. After carrying out the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels and tonneaux and, once assembled, it further ages in wooden barrels.

Ruby red by the glass, it begins on the nose with hints of cherry and red fruits. The palate is complex and elegant, leaving a nice feeling of fullness in the mouth.

It goes well with feathered game and rabbit. Nor does it disdain the roast beef and a good platter of hard cheeses.
