Description

Lagrein Gries is a wine made from 100% Lagrein grapes grown in the alluvial soils of the Bolzanino district of Gries, which has always been considered the ideal place for the viticulture of this vine.

Fermentation takes place slowly at controlled temperature. After the malolactic fermentation, the aging takes place for 12 months between large wooden barrels and barriques, followed by assembly and the final bottling phase.

It appears in the glass of an intense ruby red color tending to garnet. The sense of smell revolves on earthy and mineral notes that form the backdrop to a fruity aroma in which black cherry and plum in jam stand out. This Lagrein Riserva presents to the palate a happy juxtaposition of fruity, peat and aromatic notes.

Ideal with braised meats and long-aged cheeses. Also recommended with roasted chamois with root vegetables.
