Description
Hofstätter's Alto Adige Blauburgunder Riserva Mazon stands on the gentle hills of Mazzon, in the province of Bolzano.
It is produced entirely with Pinot Noir grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. After a partial destemming, the fermentation takes place in cask for about 10 days, with maceration in contact with the skins. Subsequently, the wine ages for 12 months in small oak barrels, for 6 months in large oak barrels and for a further 12 months in bottle, before being placed on the market.
Hofstätter's Blauburgunder Riserva Mazon has a ruby red color tending towards garnet. The nose opens with characteristic aromas of undergrowth, small red fruits and sweet morello cherry. On the palate it is warm and round, complex and velvety.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
