Description
The Alto Adige Pinot by Ferruccio Carlotto Filari di Mazzon, was born a few steps from the municipality of Egna, in the historic Alto Adige vineyard of Mazzon, universally known for the particularly favourable conditions for the cultivation of Pinot Noir.
It is produced with pure Pinot Noir grapes, harvested with careful selection of the bunches in the vineyard. The fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins for 3 weeks, with daily punching down. After the malolactic fermentation which takes place in barriques and large oak barrels, the wine is refined for 12 months in the same containers and refines for a further 7 months in steel before bottling.
A ruby red wine, Carlotto's Pinot Nero expresses aromas of leather and red fruits on the nose, with notes of vanilla that help define an olfactory spectrum of excellent enjoyment. In the mouth it is agile and voluminous, warm and juicy, with a pleasantly long and balanced finish.
Suitable for the classic pairing with truffle risotto, this wine goes well with lamb-based dishes and fresh cheeses.
