Description
The Pinot Nero Kettmeir is obtained from a selection of Pinot Noir grapes from the mid-hill vineyards around Lake Caldaro, where the soils are mostly of limestone origin
In order to extract the maximum of the aromatic and coloring substances of the grapes, the fermentation takes place with a careful control of the temperatures, which are kept low at the beginning of the same. The complexity of this wine is due to the aging, for 4/6 months, in 30 hl wooden barrels.
The result is a Pinot Noir of great elegance, with marked aromas of red fruits and undergrowth, and a soft and velvety flavor, with a fine and persistent aftertaste.
A red with a perfect character with traditional South Tyrolean dishes, such as pasta or canederli enriched with speck and cheese, second courses based on red meats and medium-aged cheeses.
