Description
Alto Adige Riserva Lagrein was born in the Castel Ringberg vineyard of Elena Walch, located in the municipality of Termeno on the Wine Route, in the province of Bolzano.
It is produced exclusively with Lagrein grapes, harvested entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel, with 10-day maceration on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 20 months in French oak barrels and for a long period in glass, before being marketed.
This Lagrein has a dark garnet red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of spices, enriched with aromas of red berries, prunes and dried figs, with hints of chocolate and smoked notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and tannic, with a pleasantly long and intense finish.
Perfect to accompany red meats and aged cheeses, this wine is ideal in combination with game and game based dishes.
