Description
The Alto Adige Chardonnay Saleit of the Kaltern-Caldaro winery is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Caldaro, in the province of Bolzano.
It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place slowly, with cold maceration of 10-18 hours, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for 5 months in tonneaux and in large wooden barrels on the fine lees, before being bottled.
Pale yellow in color, the Kaltern-Caldaro Saleit opens to the nose with fruity notes of pineapple and mango, enriched by light spaced hints of vanilla. On the palate it is creamy, full-bodied, with a long and pleasantly fruity finish.
This white wine is perfect to accompany appetizers and fish dishes.
