Description
The Appius white wine from the St. Michael-Eppan winery was born in South Tyrol. It is a prestigious cuvée created by Kellermeister Hans Terzer.
The cuvée is made up of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, harvested in the first half of September. The musts, except that of the Sauvignon, are vinified in barriques and tonneaux. The wines obtained are blended after one year. The wine then ages for 3 years on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
Straw yellow in colour, the nose reveals aromas of banana, mango, pear, peach and gooseberry. The sip is elegant, fresh and intense, with excellent persistence.
Excellent with savory fish-based dishes, seafood risottos, noble poultry and white meats.
