Description
Sauvignon Raif is an aromatic wine from the Castelfeder winery, produced in the Dolomite region. Favorable temperature variations and evening winds contribute to the optimal growth of the grapes. The adjective reif in German means mature, but the name Raif was born from a typo.
Winemaking begins with the manual harvest of the grapes, followed by delicate pressing to preserve the natural aromas. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks, while the maturation on the noble lees continues for six months, giving the wine greater aromatic complexity and a well-defined body.
This wine stands out for its bright yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, Sauvignon Raif offers an intense bouquet with hints of nettle, elderflower, green pepper, sage and mint. On the palate it is a mineral and elegant wine, which stands out for its flavor and freshness.
This Sauvignon pairs beautifully with asparagus, fish, seafood, lobster and white meats.
