Description
Trattmann Pinot Noir Riserva is produced with grapes from the best and oldest vineyards in the Mazon and Girlan subzones.
The harvest is carried out manually in small containers. 10% of the grapes are vinified in whole bunches and transferred by gravity into stainless steel vats for a 20-24 day fermentation. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 12 months in barriques and small wooden barrels, followed by an 8-month refinement in large 70 hl wooden barrels. Finally, the wine is aged in the bottle for a further 8 months.
The wine has a ruby red color and light garnet nuances. It has intense and complex aromas with hints of ripe fruit, cherry and morello cherry. On the palate it is delicate, vinous, with excellent structure and persistence, reflecting the winemaking tradition of the region.
It pairs perfectly with roasts, game and spicy cheeses, offering a harmonious combination of flavours.
