Description
The Lagrein Riserva Burgum Novum by Castelfeder is a prestigious wine that represents the excellence of South Tyrolean viticulture, produced since 1989. The soil on which it grows is mainly composed of limestone and porphyry; cultivation takes place according to the Guyot method.
The winemaking involves manual harvesting, followed by fermentation in stainless steel. Subsequently the wine matures in barrique for 18 months, then for a further 6 months in steel and finally in the bottle for another 6 months. This long refinement process helps to develop its complex aromatic characteristics and powerful structure.
This wine has a dark garnet red and offers intense notes of violet, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. On the palate, velvety tannins combine with a powerful structure, offering a persistent and refined finish.
Lagrein Riserva Burgum Novum pairs perfectly with red meats, game and cheeses.
